Context

In April 2025, 8 incidents affected humanitarian actors in the Central African Republic, almost equivalent to the average number of incidents recorded during the first three months of the year. These incidents reflect a 42% drop compared to the previous month, when 14 incidents were reported. Among the 8 incidents recorded in April, three cases of threats, two cases of robbery, one case of a traffic ban, one case of assault and one case of trespassing were identified.

During this month, humanitarian actors and their partners were active on several axes, including Ndele-Birao, to deliver assistance before the start of the rainy season. This presence along the roads increases the exposure of humanitarian workers to risks posed by armed individuals motivated by the theft of road users' belongings.

The most affected prefectures during these four last months were Vakaga, Bamingui-Bangoran and Bangui. Furthermore, the rainy season means that movements will be suspended on some roads for at least 4 months.
