Central African Republic: Humanitarian Snapshot (as of 14 Dec. 2013)

The security and humanitarian situation continues to be deteriorated in the country. The number of internally displaced persons (IDPs) has being increased due to the persistence of the violence. There are now an estimated 189,000 IDPs in Bangui all new gathered in over 40 sites, with the highest concentration in churches, religious sites and the Bangui international airport. So far, over 500 people have been killed in Bangui since the crisis started on 5 December and the number continues to increase.
