The humanitarian situation in CAR is characterized by the unprecedented upsurge of violence in the North-West which resulted in more than 200 deaths and displacement of 170,800 people inside Ouham. Confrontations that flared up on 7 September in Bossangoa, the city of former President Francois Bozizé, has spread throughout the province between former Séléka rebels, self-defense groups and unidentified armed groups have killed about 400 persons and displaced nearly 170,800 over the past two weeks.
