Strengthening the protection of vulnerable communities in Bangui and the provinces remains one of the priorities of humanitarian actors in the Central African Republic. 15,000 people from the Muslim minority are at high risk of attacks in 18 locations across the north-west and south-west of the country. Insecurity, stock depletion and underfunding are also seriously hampering the provision of food and agricultural assistance to the most affected population. With the planting and lean seasons beginning next month, funds are urgently required to enable immediate food assistance.
