Central African Republic: Humanitarian Dashboard (as of 23 September 2014)



Renewed violence in and around the north-western town of Batangafo at the end of July displaced at least 20,000 people.Other violent clashes on 4 august further deteriorated the humanitarian situation. Also hindering humanitarian access to the people affected. In Bangui, displacement has been following a gradual downward trend with the latest figures showing 62,580 IDPs in the city at more than 35 sites. Accurate displacement figures for the rest of the country are being compiled to update the IDP figures outside Bangui. The CAR crisis has pushed 418,296 Central African refugees into neighbouring countries since December 2013.
