Humanitarian access continues to be hindered by various constraints; particularly violence against civilians including aid workers/assets, interference in the implementation of humanitarian activities and active hostilities. Since the January 2014, more than 1,455 security incidents have been recorded of which 166 or 11 per cent were direct violence against humanitarian organisations. In March 2015, 112 security incidents with 14 or 13% against aid workers specifically humanitarian workers kidnapping.
