Sudan's refugee crisis response (16,674 refugees and returnees) and Chad refugee (34,358 refugees and returnees) influx between the CAR – Chad border (Paoua, Markounda) are new emergencies within the larger CAT II SHR that the team is responding to and/or closely monitoring.

The food security sector has the most significant number of people in need of assistance, with 3 million out of 3.4 million people in need nationally.
