Central African Republic - Conflict (DG ECHO, IFRC, CMP) (ECHO Daily Flash of 10 August 2017)
New official figures released by the Commission for Population Movement (CMP in its French acronym) set at 600 000 the number of internally displaced people, i.e. an increase of 11% compared to June 2017.
This increase is related to outbreaks of violence in different parts of the country over the past few months. In a recent incident on 3 August, six Red Cross volunteers were killed during the attack on a health facility in Gambo (Mbomou prefecture).
