Sustained commitment of the international community is indispensable as chronic underfunding threatens the very foundations of humanitarian action and international solidarity. In the Central African Republic, timely and predictable financing is not optional: it is what keeps life saving assistance moving, particularly through essential common logistics services in a country where access remains severely constrained.
Yet funding continues to fall far below needs. This forces humanitarian partners into hyper-prioritization, reducing assistance to the bare minimum and leaving entire communities without support despite clear, urgent needs. Without immediate and adequate funding, operational capacity will erode further, cutting off critical services and exposing vulnerable populations to preventable harm.
In 2026, donors must translate commitments into action, prioritizing humanity and compassion as political choices now more than ever. Principled, predictable, and sufficient financing is essential to prevent avoidable suffering and ensure that no one is left behind.
