Central African Crisis: Regional Humanitarian Snapshot (as of 31 March 2014)

The security situation throughout the country remains volatile with new clashes in Bangui and high level of tensions in many areas. The second week in a row of increasing IDP figures in Bangui marks a departure from the downward trend since mid-January. Over the last two weeks, the number of IDPs in Bangui increased from 177,000 to approximately 200,000. In Cameroon, the influx of refugees from CAR is continuing with about 4-5,000 new arrivals per week, over 7,000 third country nationals (TCNs) have been repatriated, and 10,000 TCNs, and Cameroonian returning migrants are still in need of assistance.
