CONTEXT
The North-West and South-West (NWSW) crisis has displaced over 583,000 people internally and led to some 1.8 million people needing humanitarian assistance. The impact of the crisis has put increasing pressure on the WASH infrastructure and further increased the risk of water related disease outbreaks. In this context, and within the coordination framework led by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), International Organization for Migration (IOM) and two local NGOs facilitated a multi-sector needs assessment (MSNA) in the North-West and South-West, with the objective to fill information gaps and provide evidence for effective response and coordination.
