Attachments

Highlights

  • In April, Cambodia recorded its highest temperature.
Coupled with low rainfall, it has seriously affected vegetation and crops.

  • WFP is closely monitoring the water scarcity situation and mapping its impact, using data from a satellitebased drought monitoring and warning system since June 2015. This indicated that there are moderate drought conditions throughout the country.

  • Water levels in the Mekong are higher comparatively than in the dry year of 1992 and the wet year of 2002.
This, according to the Mekong River Commission, is due to the release of water from dams in China.
