10 September, 2002 11:50 - During the last 24 hours, water level at stations between Chiang Saen and Savannakhet receded. Meanwhile, water level from Khong Chiam to Stung Treng rose significantly. Water level at Pakse, Koh Khel is higher than the alarm stage; at Tan Chau and Chau Doc, it has been exceeded flood stages since August 23. In coming days, water levels at stations from Chiang Saen to Savannakhet continue to recede, from Khong Chiam to Pakse rise up in 1 - 3 days, then will fall down; from Stung Treng downstream to the Delta continue to rise. Water level at Kompong Cham, Neak Luong will be exceede the alarm stage.
