09 September, 2002 11:51 - During the last 24 hours, water level at stations between Paksane and Pakse rose at rates from 2 cm to 24 cm, except from Luang Prabang to Vientiane, Nong Khai; from Stung Treng to Kratie - receded. Meanwhile, water level from Kompong Cham downstream to the Delta rose. Water level at Koh Khel is still higher than the alarm stage; at Tan Chau and Chau Doc, it has been exceeded flood stages since August 23. In coming days, water level at stations from Chiang Saen to Savannakhet will recede, from Kompong Cham to the Delta continue to rise slowly.
