Cambodia, The Impact of Tropical Storm "Sonca"

Description

After battered by heavy rain that brought by the Tropical Storm Sonca, flood occurred in Preah Vihear, Oddar Meanchey, Stung Treng and Kampot Provinces. In Preah Vihear, the flood has caused 2 deaths. The rescue team also evacuated 48 families in Choam Ksan District. In total, 250 families were affected and evacuated in Preah Vihear and Oddar Meanchey Provinces. Meanwhile, 300 houses were inundated in Kampot Province. Flood also inundated houses in Stung Treng Province.

Responding the situation, the local government inspected the areas and provided assistance to the victims.
