KEY HIGHLIGHTS

• Organic rice cultivation in Preah Vihear has largely concluded for the season, with most fields in the post-harvest stage. Farmers are advised to focus on proper drying, storage, and pest control, as well as soil restoration to improve fertility for the next planting cycle.

• Mealy bugs, thrips, flower webworms, and mango gall midges were reported in mango or-chards in Oddar Meanchey, posing risks to tree health. Timely pest monitoring and manage-ment measures are crucial to minimize potential impacts.

• The insect pests observed in January may continue into February if effective control mea-sures are not implemented. Regular monitoring and timely interventions will be necessary to prevent further infestations.
