Now that the former president, Laurent Gbagbo, has been detained, life is beginning to return to normal in Côte d'Ivoire.
The West African country was torn apart by conflict for months as Mr. Gbagbo illegally held onto power following the November election of the current president, Alassane Ouattara.
Now Côte d'Ivoire is slowly showing signs of healing, says Hamadoun Toure, spokesman for UNOCI, the United Nations mission in the country. He spoke to Gerry Adams.
