Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire (PANA) - Ivorian
authorities indicated Wednesday they had extended a curfew in force since
the beginning of military uprising last September, to 25.
The curfew runs from 22h00 to GMT in
Abidjan and other towns under government control. Elsewhere in areas highly
susceptible to rebel attacks, it is a full dusk-to-dawn curfew starting
18h00 and continuing up to 08h00 GMT.
The extension comes despite indications that the various parties in the country's civil war were almost through with setting up a government of national reconciliation to end the crisis.
