The Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs has leased an aircraft loaded with 25 tons of medicines and medical supplies worth more than 225,000 euros that arrived at Abidjan on april 22.
The primary objective of this aid is to resupply the stocks of three hospital centers as well as Abidjan’s Public Health Pharmacy and to deliver medical supplies to the NGO Première Urgence - Aide Médicale Internationale.
A logistics expert and a pharmacist from the Etablissement de Préparation et Réponse aux Urgences Sanitaires (EPRUS) [organization for health emergency preparedness and response] and an employee of the ministry’s crisis center will accompany these materials in order to distribute them at the relevant health establishments. EPRUS personnel will also engage in training efforts.
