I have the honour to refer to Security Council resolution 1842 (2008) concerning Côte d'Ivoire. By paragraph 10 of the resolution, the Council decided to extend the mandate of the Group of Experts until 31 October 2009 and requested me to take the necessary administrative measures.
Accordingly, I wish to inform you that, after consulting with the Security Council Committee established pursuant to resolution 1572 (2004) concerning Côte d'Ivoire, I have appointed the following experts:
Grégoire Bafouatika, Republic of the
Congo (aviation)
James Bevan, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (arms)
Noora Jamsheer, Bahrain (diamonds)
El Hadi Salah, Algeria (customs)
I have designated Mr. El Hadi Salah to serve as Coordinator of the Group of Experts.
I should be grateful if you would bring this matter to the attention of the members of the Security Council.
