UNICEF provided 18,268 individuals with free medical consultations. Among them, 1,263 pregnant women accessed antenatal care, 452 of whom were referred to higher-level health facilities. Additionally, 6,250 individuals participated in Mpox-specific sensitization efforts, with 24 cases detected and referred to isolation centers.

UNICEF supported severe acute malnutrition (SAM) management in flood-affected districts, with 464 children under five admitted and treated for SAM, meeting Sphere standards.

UNICEF’s partners trained 80 community health workers and 300 teachers on hygiene practices, and 33,310 individuals were sensitized on hygiene and sanitation. In Rumonge Province, 1,436 households received hygiene kits, and safe water provision continued in cholera hotspots with Civil Protection.

UNICEF provided psychosocial support to 1,688 individuals, including 1,566 children. Additionally, 23 unaccompanied children were identified and reunited with their families or placed in alternative care, while 4,308 individuals benefited from gender-based violence prevention and risk mitigation interventions.

UNICEF established 40 savings groups with 1,200 members. These groups were trained in income-generating activities and will receive financial support to launch livelihood-focused businesses, enhancing community resilience
