Overview

Torrential rains and violent wind caused by El Nino phenomenon hit some provinces of the country on Sunday and Monday. They destroyed houses and wounded persons. They also caused flood that made road impracticable. Moreover, civil unrest caused deaths. Thus, volunteers of Burundi Red Cross have been mobilized to carry out global needs assessment. The table below shows the current situation in affected provinces and volunteers' action.
