Highlights
- 48,294 children under 5 were treated against three childhood diseases (malaria, diarrhea, and pneumonia) at community level in the six mostaffected regions (Boucle du Mouhoun, Centre-Est, Centre-Nord, Est, Nord, Sahel) by humanitarian crisis.
- 10,613 mother/children have been provided with essential health and nutrition services, including referral services through home visits in the six most-affected regions by humanitarian crisis.
- 25,459 children under five have received treatment for severe acute malnutrition (SAM) in all regions of Burkina faso.
- 177,064 pregnant and lactating women (PLW) received IYCF-E counseling services through 10,373 community support groups (GASPA) in the six most-affected regions by insecurity
- 877,279 children (43% girls) are reintegrated into both formal and nonformal education across the crisis-affected regions (Sahel, Nord, Centrenord, Est, centre est, Boucle de Mouhoun). This action is the result of a collaborative effort between UNICEF and its partners, including government authorities and NGOs
- 14,673 people, including 14,550 children (7,995 girls and 6,555 boys) and 123 caregivers (89 women and 34 men) have benefitted from community-based psychosocial support services.
