MCC provides food after a failed harvest in Burkina Faso

MCC is donating $26,000 Cdn./$21,000 U.S. to provide 60 metric tons of corn to a region in Burkina Faso that is suffering a food shortage. A partner organization, Office of Development of Evangelical Churches, is providing the corn to 600 families in the provinces of Soum, Oudalam and Seno, where drought and locusts have destroyed crops. Corn will be donated to the poorest families and sold at a discount to others, and the proceeds will help fund the project.
