• OAG violence in Burkina Faso resulted in at least 2,000 civilian deaths and the displacement of approximately 259,000 people between January and September.

• Approximately 2.5 million people across Burkina Faso required food assistance during the June-to-August lean season, primarily due to insecurity. Food needs are expected to persist through January 2025, particularly in Boucle du Mouhoun,
Centre-Nord, Est, and Sahel regions.

• As of September, 30 percent of health care facilities were either partially or fully nonfunctional due to frequent attacks on facilities and equipment, medical personnel, and medication shortages, adversely affecting 4 million people.
