1. Situation update:
1.1 The declared "Disaster Situation" in the affected municipalities along the Danube River still remains. 1.2 The water level prognosis for 04.05.2006
Rouse - anticipated level - 791 cm above normal water level
Silistra - anticipated level - 785 cm above normal water level
1.3 The dykes in all effected municipalities are permanently observed. Activities for pumping out water are being conducted. The necessary epidemic prevention measures are taken. The recovery work in the affected areas has started.
2. Bulgarian authorities have received a large number of sandbags and the request is fulfilled. The remaining request for assistance is still valid.
