World Vision responds to those affected by continuous rainfall in Brazil

by Ana Guerra - Communications
As a result of continuous rainfall in Brazil, 51 people have died and many more are in dire need. Civil Defence is collecting donations of food, blankets and clothes for affected families.

World Vision Brazil Rapid Response Team has visited many affected families who have sponsored children.

World Vision has also started several donation campaigns. About 9 posts to collect donations have been distributed around the metropolitan area, where volunteers are helping to separate the donations and to organize aid to the families.

Showing its great ability to mobilize the media, World Vision Brazil organized a benefit concert on January 22nd, collecting more than 2 tons of food. At the entrance was 2 kilos of non-perishable food, and the event had great media coverage.
