TİKA Supports Flooded Areas of Bosnia and Herzegovina with Search and Rescue Boat

Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) sent two search and rescue motorboats to Una-Sana Canton (USC) Ministry of Interior located at the northwest of Bosnia and Herzegovina

Due to the heavy rain at Krajina, located at the northwest of the country, homes and workplaces were flooded. Following the flooding disaster, TİKA sent 150 pairs of boots, 150 raincoats and two motorboats to the flooded areas.

Erdinç Işık, TİKA's Coordinator in Bosnia and Herzegovina, expressed the solidarity between Bosnia and Herzegovina's institutions and non-governmental organizations, and Turkish people following the Kahramanmaraş centered earthquake at 6th of February.

Işık, who conveyed the USC teams support, along with other Bosnian teams, at the earthquake zone, stated that "We were in touch with the Ministry of Interior, USC government, Federal Administration of Civil Protection (FUCZ) delegates ever since the first day of flooding. We wanted to show that Türkiye and Turkish people are with Bosnian people as much as we can, and we hope that this will be beneficial."

Smail Hrnjica, USK's FUCZ delegate, commented that search and rescue boats will be beneficial for the purpose of helping citizens.
