Start of the project Integrated socio-economic support to landmine victims in BiH
International non-governmental organisation World Vision, announces the start of the EU funded project „Integrated socio-economic support to landmine victims in BiH”. This two-year project aims to provide economic and social support for 200 landmine victims and their families in BiH.
The project will be implemented in eleven mine-affected municipalities: Stanari, Doboj, Lukavac, Zvornik, Konjic, Cajnice, Velika Kladusa, Bihac, Bosanska Krupa, Donji Vakuf and Travnik. The total amount of the project is 388,830 EUR. It is financed 90% by the European Union and 10% by World Vision Austria and affected municipalities.
World Vision, together with the Organization of amputees UDAS, in collaboration with the affected municipalities and BHMAC, will support selected beneficiares to increase their skills in managing small businesses, to purchase equipment for their businesses and to benefit from technical and expert support on business development. The project will also provide training for the staff of Centers for mental health and Centres for community based rehabilitation of the affected municipalities and promote access of landmine victims to those services.
The selection procedure of the beneficiares will be through a call of interest to be published in November 2017 at the notice board of the affected municipalities, at www.worldvision.ba, at www.udas.rs.ba and at www.bhmac.org.
