La Paz (dpa) - Flooding caused by heavy rains in Bolivia has left at least nine people dead, officials said on Wednesday. Four people drowned in the capital La Paz, authorities said, and three other people were missing. A fisherman swept away by a rising river in the southern province Tarijia was also missing and presumed dead. Heavy rains Bolivia has been suffering from since December have harmed agriculture and damaged infrastructure.
