On 12 April 2018, the Bolivia Civil Defense reported landslides in the Siñari sector of the North Yungas Road, La Paz Department, causing a closure of the Unduavi-Santa Barbará stretch and restricting access to the following towns: Coroico, Caranavi, and Guanay in the North, and Chulumani, Irupana, and La Asunta in the South. Severe Weather
On 12 April 2018, the Colombia Disaster Risk Management Department (DAGRD) reported heavy rain in Aburrá Valley, Andean Region, which caused emergencies in San Sebastián de Palmitas, Medellín Municipality, due to landslides. Media reported the landslides blocked road access to a nearby town and 12 houses were recommended to be evacuated due to the severity of the damages.
