Flooding leads to crop loss in town of Comarapa: A flood that occurred due to an overflowed river in the town of Comarapa the week of February 15, 2016, affected more than 300 hectares of crops. A declaration of emergency has been approved. 15 communities are lacking potable water because of the flooding. The losses of crops will also affect delivery of food to Santa Cruz city. (M: EL DIA)

Heavy rainfall leads to flooding of several rivers: Heavy rainfall caused flooding of several rivers in the city of La Paz, particularly the Huayñajahuira River, which generated large-scale flooding in the southern portion of the city on February 24, 2016.
