Bolivia - Floods and landslides, update (SENAMHI, media) (ECHO Daily Flash of 27 November 2024)

  • Following the heavy rainfall that affected western Bolivia on 23-24 November and caused floods, rivers overflow and a landslide, the number of casualties has increased.
  • Media reports, as of 27 November, two fatalities, 26 injured people, more than 30 displaced people, a number of rescued people and around 70 damaged houses due to the overflow of the Pasajahuira river and due to a landslide event occurred in the area of the La Paz capital city.
  • Over the next 96 hours, more heavy rainfall is still forecast over western Bolivia, including the already affected La Paz capital city area.
