On 23-24 November, western Bolivia experienced heavy rainfall, particularly in the La Paz capital city area, that caused floods, the overflow of rivers and triggering a landslide that have resulted in casualties and damage.
According to media, as of 26 November, one person is missing and more than 30 people have been displaced due to the overflow of the Pasajahuira river that affected the neighbourhood of Bajo Llojeta on the outskirts of La Paz capital city. In addition, 26 people have been injured and over 20 houses damaged.
Moreover, approximately 40 houses were reported damaged due to a landslide occurred on 24 November across the same area.
Over the next 96 hours, more rainfall is forecast over western Bolivia, including the already affected La Paz capital city area.
