The seasonal storm, Nor’wester, known as Kalboishakhi has swept different areas throughout the country. Nor’wester has damaged property, crops, trees and people and animal had also died.

Due to Norwester on 10th May, 2011, three people had died in Chatmohor and Thakurgaon district of the country. Trees, electric poles and houses are damaged huge in numbers for Nor’wester. Nor’wester with hailstorm caused severe damage to mature Boro crop of vast areas in Chatmohor, Thakurgaon, Pabna, Ukhia and Sherpur. It is reported that att Ullapara of Shirajganj district newly grown Boro crop has damaged.
