I SITUATION OVERVIEW
During the reporting period, from 20 June 18:00 to 27 June 18:00, some 182 refugees were affected by monsoon-related events. The heaviest monsoon impact this week was recorded on the 21st of June, with windstorms and landslides affecting almost 100 people. Overall, the impact on infrastructure and services has been relatively limited this week, with minimal impact on health, food security, nutrition, education and WASH activities.
The Monsoon Season in Bangladesh officially started on 17 June. However, monsoon-related incidents have been recorded in the Rohingya refugee camps since April. Cumulatively, since 21st April, at least 22,000 refugees have been affected by landslides/erosions, wind, storm and rain.
