Donors have committed/contributed US$20.7 million of humanitarian funding to Bangladesh so far in 2014 – a decline from previous years. None of this amount is in response to the current floods.

The European Commission's Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection Department (ECHO) is by far the largest humanitarian donor to Bangladesh (US$17 million so far in 2014). The UK Department for International Development (DFID) also provides significant funding (GBP £201.7 million in fiscal year 2014/15), but classifies its support as development rather than humanitarian.

There are no current appeals for the response to the flooding in Bangladesh.
