HIGHLIGHTS

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare activated a week-long second round of oral cholera vaccinations from 6-13 May, aiming to prevent any outbreaks during monsoon season. The campaign is part of the ongoing efforts of the government and the health sector partners to protect nearly a million people, including at least 135,000 members of the host community.

BRAC deployed 38 mobile vaccination teams to vaccinate people in settlements and host communities. 55 Community Mobilisation Managers are actively taking part in the campaign. In addition, our 800 Community Mobilisation Volunteers are helping to disseminate cholera vaccination messages, which will cover around 40,000 households. The health and nutrition, WaSH, and education sectors are also actively campaigning across sectors.
