Gender in Gender in Humanitarian Action Bangladesh: Rapid Gender Analysis: Korail slum fire

Attachments

Introduction
This rapid gender analysis draws primarily on household-level data collected by BRAC following the Korail slum fire, complemented by secondary information from United Nations agencies, national non-government organisations and published reports. The analysis applies humanitarian standards and the commitment to ‘leave no one behind’. It identifies the vulnerabilities and needs of women, girls, female-headed households, gender-diverse individuals, persons with disabilities, pregnant and lactating women and school-aged children. The findings aim to inform gender-responsive planning and prioritisation of interventions across the shelter, food security, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), education and protection sectors.
