Flash Flood Outlook for the North-East region as of May 12, 2014

RAINFALL

No Significant rainfall (More than 50 mm) observed in North East Bangladesh and its adjoining areas in India during last 24 hours. There is possibility of occurring significant rainfall today (12-13 May 2014) in Sylhet - Sumanganj area and in the adjoining Meghalaya area.

OUTLOOK

The Surma, Kushiyara and Manu rivers are in normal condition. There is a falling trend for today and tomorrow for Surma and Kushiyara rivers and their tributaries. There is possibility of flash flood in Sylhet and Sunamganj within next 48 hours sepceially in the low lying areas
