The Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief (MoDMR) and the UN Resident Coordinator's Offlce (UNRCO) jointly organized a special Humanitarian Coordination Task Team (HCTT) meeting on the cyclone-monsoon emergencies of 2024 on September 29, 2024, at the Hotel Amari Dhaka. The objective of the meeting was to enhance coordination and collaboration to improve disaster preparedness, response, and risk reduction in Bangladesh. Co-chaired by Mr. Md Kamrul Hasan, ndc, Secretary of MoDMR, and Ms. Gwyn Lewis, UN Resident Coordinator, the meeting welcomed a total of 63 participants. lt served as a platform to discuss the collective response and recovery efforts for the recent four climate emergencies. During the meeting, Mr. Md Kamrul Hasan and Ms. Gwyn Lewis also jointly taunched the multi-hazard humanitarian response plan for cyclone and monsoon floods 2024.
