As per BMD, Cyclone Remal's intensification predicts landfall near the coasts of West Bengal, India, and Bangladesh around midnight on May 26th. Currently located southwest of Bangladeshi ports, the storm is expected to track northwards, bringing heavy to very heavy rainfall with strong winds to coastal areas of Satkhira, Khulna, Bagerhat, Pirojpur, Hatia, Bhola, Patuakhali, Barisal, Noakhali, Lakshmipur, Feni, Cumilla, Chittagong, and Cox's Bazar. These districts, along with their offshore islands and chars, face a critical threat of inundation by a storm surge of 3-5 feet above normal tide.
