In March 2025, the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS), under the Population Movement Operation (PMO), delivered humanitarian assistance to a total of 185,711 people—120,647 from the camp settlements including newly arrivals and 65,064 from the local community in Cox’s Bazar.
The Operation (PMO) has effectively reached these people through various humanitarian interventions healthcare (including clinical care, community-based health and first aid (CBHFA), and mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS), disaster and climate risk management (DCRM), shelter, Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH), livelihoods, Non-formal child education, community resilience-building and capacity development activities.
We maintain close collaboration with the Inter-Sector Coordination Group (ISCG) / Refugee Operations and Coordination Team (ROCT), the Refugee Relief and Repatriation Commissioner (RRRC), the Deputy Commissioner, and other relevant government bodies, NGOs, and UN agencies to ensure effective implementation of humanitarian initiatives.
