COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVES (CDI) PROGRAMME
In June 2013, CDI programme organized training, with the collaboration of Agricultural Department, on Homestead Gardening for its beneficiaries at Rangpur and Gopalganj area. A total of 63 families had received this training and quality seeds had also been distributed among 822 families for homestead gardening in Rangpur. Besides, fruit sapling had been distributed to 1,563 families, with the collaboration of Agricultural Department and BRAC, in Rangpur and Gopalganj.
Second installment for establishing Community Nursery, for quality seed production, had been distributed to 4 communities during this month. Key objective was to produce quality seeds for the community.
The programme organized training on Tailoring with 30 unemployed women and PASSA (Participatory Approach of Safe Shelter Awareness) with 20 volunteers in Rangpur and Gopalgang district.
