This interactive dashboard has been developed to support pre-crisis analysis and evidence-based decision-making by providing a comprehensive overview of population-level risks and vulnerabilities across Bangladesh, with a strong focus on gender and social dimensions. It aims to inform preparedness, anticipatory action, and strategic planning for humanitarian and development interventions.
The dashboard brings together key socio-economic and infrastructure indicators across multiple dimensions, including livelihoods, housing conditions, financial status, employment patterns, overall population characteristics, education and literacy levels, telecommunication access, and WASH (water, sanitation, and hygiene), with data disaggregated where possible to highlight gender-based differences and inequalities. By consolidating these diverse datasets into a single analytical platform, the tool enables users to better understand how different risk factors intersect and where populations may face heightened vulnerability before a crisis occurs.
This resource is intended for a wide range of stakeholders, including humanitarian actors, government authorities, donors, and development partners, to support coordinated planning, targeted programming, and timely, informed responses that are both risk-informed and gender-responsive.
This dashboard has been established through a joint effort of the GIHA Working Group Bangladesh, the Asia-Pacific GIHA Working Group (AP GIHA WG), UNOCHA, and UN Women.
