Background: The active monsoon-induced rainfall and swelling rivers caused flooding in several northern districts of Bangladesh. Low-lying areas, chars and riverine areas have been underwater since last Friday. Also, there is a forecast of heavy rainfall in the coming days which may worsen the situation.

Based on the inundation map produced and shared by FFWC this report provides a glimpse of the potential inundation-exposed population of different Jamuna River basin districts.
