Current Situation: The Cyclonic Storm "RASHMI" over north bay and adjoining area moved North-Northeastwards and was centered at midnight last night. It is likely to move in a Northwasterly direction further and may cross Khulna-Barisal coast near Patharghata by morning/noon today (the 27 october 2008). Squally weather may continue over the coastal areas of Bangladesh.

Maritme port of Mongla has been advised to lower local warning signal number four but instead hoist danger signal number seven (r) seven.

Maritime ports of Chittagong and Cox's Bazar have been advised to lower local warning signal number four but instead hoist danger signal number six (r) six.
