General Situation:

WEATHER AND RIVER SITUATIONS

Current Situation: Monsoon is less active over Bangladesh and moderate elsewhere over North Bay. The prevailing flash flood situation in the north-eastern part of the country is likely to improve further. The Surma at Kanaighat and the Kushiyara at Amalshid & Sheola are flowing above their respective danger levels this morning.

Forecast Valid for 24 Hours Commencing 09 AM Today:

Synoptic Situation: A low has formed over west-central Bay and adjoining northwest Bay. Monsoon axis runs trough Uttar Prodesh, Bihar, West Bengal, the center of low and thence to Assam across central part of Bangladesh. Monsoon is less active over Bangladesh and moderate elsewhere over North Bay.

Forecast: Light to moderate rain/T. showers accompanied by tempo. gusty wind is likely to occur at a few places over Khulna , Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Dhaka and Rajshahi divisions.

Day temperature may rise slightly over the country.
