FLOOD OUTLOOK
The Brahmaputra-Jamuna receded further significantly at all points and is flowing 12 cm above danger level at Aricha. The Jamuna at Aricha is likely to flow below dangle by next 24 hrs. The gradual recession of flood water from the settlement area is subjected to lagging one or two days.
The Ganges-Padma is flowing 42 cm & 40 cm above danger level at Goalundo and Bhagyakul respectively and is likely to recede both at Goalundo and Bhagyakul in the next 24, 48 & 72 hrs.
The kaliganga at Taraghat and the Dhaleswari at Jagir are in falling trend and are likely to continue falling.
Flood situation in the districts of Manikganj, Munshiganj, Faridpur, Rajbari, Madaripur, Shariatpur, Gopalganj, Chandpur and Dohar & Nawabganj upazila of Dhaka is likely to continue improving further in the next 24, 48 & 72 hrs.
The Meghna at Bhairab Bazar continued falling. The flood situation in the districts of Narshingdi, Brahmanbaria, Kishoreganj & Gazipur will continue to improve further in the next 24, 48 & 72 hrs with the water receding in the river Meghna.
All five small rivers surrounding Dhaka and Narayanganj observed fall. The rivers are expected to fall further in the next 24, 48 & 72 hrs.
Flood situation around Dhaka city especially in the eastern part of Dhaka is likely to improve further and will continue improving in the next 24, 48 & 72 hrs.
