The year 2024 has highlighted the critical importance of swift and coordinated humanitarian responses in addressing global crises. As natural disasters grow in frequency and intensity, conflicts continue to displace millions, and refugee crises persist globally, the need for decisive and compassionate action has never been greater. This annual impact report underscores Good Neighbors’ efforts to meet these urgent challenges and reaffirms the role of preparedness and cooperation in saving lives and restoring hope.
Good Neighbors has strengthened its commitment to global humanitarian assistance by addressing crises caused by natural disasters, conflicts, and forced displacement. Through coordinated operations across 27 countries, we reached 797,059 individuals, delivering life-saving aid and fostering recovery in 2024.
Our emergency response initiatives spanned 14 countries, addressing natural disasters— including cyclones, floods, and wildfires—and providing immediate and critical relief to affected communities. In addition to emergency response, we prioritized preparedness efforts in Bangladesh, Indonesia, and the Philippines, benefiting 17 communities. These initiatives included community awareness programs, early warning systems, and prepositioned resources, significantly enhancing our ability to respond swiftly and effectively to emerging threats. In the face of conflict and forced displacement across 12 countries and territories, we extended vital support to 180,346 individuals, including internally displaced persons and refugees. Our interventions encompassed the provision of food, clean water, psychosocial support, livelihood assistance, and efforts to foster peaceful coexistence between refugees and host communities, ensuring dignity and safety in the most challenging circumstances.
